We are proud to say that Fashion Exposé is the longest running, student design competition on North Carolina State University's campus. This awe inspiring production which began in 1997 takes place during Pan- Afrikan Week. It serves as an outlet for student's to showcase their design capabilities while competing for minimal scholarship funds. Over the past 20 years, the show has evolved from its initial beginnings in the College of Textile's Convocation Center to a full scale production now held in the 1,500 seat Talley Ballroom on Main Campus.
Fashion Exposé showcases the work of many diverse designers. Each year the African- American Textile Society (AATS) is thankful to see our production grow in size and grace the eyes of many individuals from the Triangle and surrounding area.

Designers
Each designer is required to have at least 5 designs/looks for the fashion show. More than likely you will need at least 5 models to display your collection on the runway.
Novice may not exceed 7 looks and Intermediate & Beyond may not exceed 10 looks.
Quality is better than quantity.

Complete the 21st Annual Fashion Exposé application for entry online.
Entry fees may only be paid by cash or check. Checks should be written out to: African American Textile Society.
Please bring payments to the College of Textiles Career Services office, the student-employee at the front desk will assist you with completing your payment.
No later than Friday February 9, 2018 for all of the above.
Designer Packet
Complete a video shoot for marketing materials. This footage will also be used for the Exposé as a visual introduction to the designers and their collection before it is showcased on the runway.
Complete a .PDF file of your entire collection. This will serve as an electronic presentation to better showcase the artistry and inspiration used in your collections.
