MISSION STATEMENT

The African American Textile Society’s (AATS) Fashion Exposé is an annual fashion design competition organized by NCSU students and was the first fashion show ever organized on NC State’s campus. The Fashion Exposé grants emerging student designers the opportunity to showcase their designs in a competitive and inspiring environment. The Fashion Exposé aims to enliven student designers by customizing a fashion showcase that highlights their unique design styles and capturing the essence of each designer’s inspiration for apparel design; platforming the student’s creativity into an entertaining experience for the public to enjoy.

VISION STATEMENT

Innovation and vitality being core values, the Fashion Exposé strives to produce a show that brings aesthetic life to the collection of each designer.  We believe that in order to truly appreciate the artistry of apparel design, a designer’s work must be fostered into an unparalleled experience that can be felt, heard, and seen by others. In producing a fashion showcase competition that values the work of each student like no other, AATS’ Fashion Exposé seeks to bring an awe-inspiring form of entertainment to NC State’s campus while empowering student designers to advance in their strives to succeed in the fashion industry.
